Biography

John graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with major in finance from the University of Windsor Ontario in 2000. After 2 years with the Bank of Montreal and 5 years working as an Arborist, John began his career with Metrix in 2007 simultaneous pursing a Post Graduate Valuation Certificate from the University of British Columbia. John received his AACI designation in October of 2010.

John has appraised a wide range of residential, industrial and commercial properties across Southwestern Ontario as well as completing 400+ expropriation, power of sale and foreclosure appraisals. In addition to being an accredited member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, John along with his wife have successfully contracted the build of their 2 storey home, which is filled with the joy of their 3 children.

  • Complete market rental studies (multi-family retail/commercial, industrial)
  • Complete limited temporary easement & expropriation assignments
  • Case analysis for damage, loss of use and injurious affection claims
  • Complete power of sale assignments
  • Complete property tax assessment appeal assignments
  • Subdivision development analyses
  • Prepare ground lease rental rate studies and additions to reserves for First Nations
  • Value special purpose properties, including golf courses, marinas, trailer parks, campgrounds and Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESAs)
  • Prepare ecological gift appraisals
